Ethan and Lindsay were born and raised in Alabama. They both worked in the medical field and lived a secure and familiar life, but in 2015, this all changed. While Ethan was on a mission trip to Juarez, Mexico, he felt the call on his life to quit his job and move his family 1,200 miles from Alabama to El Paso, TX to become full time missionaries across the border.
In 2017, this is exactly what happened. Ethan and Lindsay quit their jobs and left the comfort of their home to embark on a faith journey that only seemed to make sense to God. Little did they know all that God had in store. Since 2017, Ethan and Lindsay have been working in Juarez to feed hundreds of children under their care the things that they hunger for. What they quickly realized when arriving to Juarez, is that in ministry, one size does not fit all and children hungered for far more than food, they hungered for love, attention, trust, positive influence, direction, medical care, education, and so much more. And since 2017, this is what they have been working to do.
They want to break the cycle of broken families, poverty, and violence that so many children face, and they want children to know that despite their circumstance, there is a God in heaven that loves them and has a plan for their life. Ethan and Lindsay want to encourage others through their story to trust God and His perfect plan, and to be willing and obedient to step out when God calls, because there are people on the other side of your obedience waiting to know Him.
